Happy Christmas... 2011

Warning: This is a big (and late) post! I am keeping the writing short as there are A TON of photos.
We stuck to our usual Christmas routine on Christmas Eve-- Mass and then dinner at my mom's. It is always so great and Christmas Mass always seems to really make it feel like it truly is Christmas.

Christmas morning, we woke up in our own house (for the first time in our married life!)... Miss Kennedy was excited to see what Santa brought her! I made a Christmas brunch and the Harvies and my family joined us. Then it was off to spend Christmas evening with the McKenna side of the family.

The day after Christmas, we made our annual day-after-Christmas trek to Camano Island to have a celebration with Sean's mom's side of the family.

Whew! We were exhausted but oh so blessed and happy to have such a lovely 3-day celebration with our sweet girls and wonderful family!

Christmas Eve....

Christmas Morning...

One of my all-time fav photos of Sean... so him. I love it.

My oh-so-beautiful sister...

Christmas Evening at the McKennas....

Wait for it, Wait for it...

Bam. What a stud.

So fun to watch the cousins all play together... there are 8 McKenna grandchildren... all under the age of six!

Day after Christmas on Camano Island...
more cousins (and young aunties!)

This picture is fun because we were all pregnant with these babies, last Christmas! :)

Linda with all six of her kids...

with her daughters...

with her sons...

And, just in case you haven't fallen asleep during this extremely long post... here are a few of my favorite Christmas decorations from around our house.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 2012!
Stay tuned for photos from our New Years trip to Leavenworth.

Little Miss Ryan

I had the pleasure of photographing this little sweetie today.
Ryan is the daughter of my great friend, Jami.
Jami and I were pregnant together- Ryan and Mara are only about two weeks apart in age!
It is fun to watch them grow together.

Merry 1st Christmas, Ryan!

And, did you notice my fantastic new logo/watermark on the photos?
Thanks to Mr. Brian Williams for the artwork!
Junebug Photography is in the works!

True Words.

I found these on my other favorite website... http://www.pinterest.com/
Love them so much.
They totally sum up our philosophy on parenting ( I will speak for Sean here because I know he agrees).

Could I staple these to my girls' heads? :)

Christmas Card 2011.

This year, I discovered (and fell in love with) http://www.etsy.com/ which is where I got our Christmas card.
It was $15 ... and then I printed at Costco.
Easy squeezy, baby.

May YOUR Christmas be Merry and Bright!

Ho, Ho, ... NO!

Kennedy was merry and bright up until she saw the big guy with the white beard.
Even a tasty candy cane couldn't convince our almost- three year old that Santa was friendly and nice.
So, unlike our 2009 and 2010 Santa photos, there are a few tears in this one.

Little sis seemed pretty content though!

Mara at 5 Months

Five months already.
She is, quite simply, a joy.
She and her sister make me happier than I ever thought possible.
Smooches and loves to my sweet baby girl.

Oh yeah... she has discovered her feet and I think she may be teething.
And, she has a uni-brow and quite possibly, the longest black eyelashes I have ever seen on a human, much less a baby.

A Very. Merry. 2011 Christmas Party

All the girls... truly love this group of ladies.

Love my sister-friend.

My Springbrook Elementary peeps. I dearly miss seeing them on a daily basis...

No doubt... talking sports. :)

Melissa and Melissa... needless to say, neither felt great the next morning :)

The couples...
the Harvies

the Elmers

the Tkach's

the McPherrens

the Williams

the Murrays

the Hoefels

Cassidy and John

A rare sight... Robin and a shot glass... she didn't feel well the next morning, either... :)

The party was a great success and so much fun.
We are truly blessed with amazing friends.

Until next year...

O' Christmas Tree 2011

We are pretty stoked about Christmas 2011.
Last Christmas, we were in the midst of moving and we basically skipped Christmas. That sucked.
Sooo.... we are going all out this year.
Therefore, we made the day-after-Thanksgiving trek to Snowshoe Tree Farm in Orting and chose the perfect tree. Mom and Rachael joined us and we had a great time.
An annual tradition has begun!
