Happy Easter- 2011

We had such a great Easter Sunday! Like last year, we traveled up to Mt. Vernon for a fun day at Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Ray's. Aunt Jeanie made a beautiful dinner and they had a fun Easter egg hunt for all SEVEN of the little girls! Yes, that's right- there were 7 little girls (and one on the way, of course!). It was so cute to see all the girls dressed in cute, springy dresses.

Before driving to Mt. Vernon, we went to Easter Mass with my mom and Rachael. I couldn't believe how great Kennedy behaved during the hour and a half long service.

Photos from our fun day... Happy Easter (and hopefully, spring weather will soon follow!)

All dressed up for church...

I love these photos of Kennedy and Rachael- I couldn't pick one so here are all three!

Oh Sunny Day

We took Kennedy to the park today and while she played with Sean, I laid on the park bench and soaked up the refreshingly warm, warm sun. This was my view as I looked up at the sky.

And this was my backseat view as we waited in the Starbucks drive-thru. Fortunately, we  have her smile to light up all the other days of the year that are not so cloudless and warm.

30 Weeks (7 1/2 Months)

This weekend marks the beginning of my 30th week of pregnancy which puts me at about 7 1/2 months! The next two months will fly by as we move into our new house and I wrap up the school year. This pregnancy has continued to be a great one although I am starting to feel myself slow down a bit, particularly in the evenings. The backaches and mild heartburn don't help either! Still, I can't complain and I continue to be so excited to meet this little one.

4 Years...

Today is our fourth wedding anniversary! We celebrated last weekend with a nice dinner out to El Goucho. We stuffed ourselves with delicious salads, steaks and mashed potatoes... indulging in a delicious dinner for our anniversary has become a yearly tradition that I love!

I always like to look through our wedding pictures when our anniversary rolls around- it was such a fun day! As I looked at the photos, I found myself staring at my wedding dress wondering how I ever fit into it... oh, the joys of being 7 months pregnant. :)

As the rain poured down today, I laughed about how we lucked out with the weather on our big day ...

We aren't perfect and there are days when we can grate on eachother's nerves like nobody's business.
But nine days out of ten, he makes me laugh.
And I can honestly say, it is a pleasure and an honor to be married to him.

Happy Anniversary, Sean... I love you very much.

Rocky and Kiki

Kennedy and Roderick are both learning to talk and in an effort to say eachother's names, they now call one another "Rocky" and "Kiki," respectively. So of course the rest of us have started calling them Rocky and Kiki... oh the funny ways kids get nicknames.

Weekend Get-Away

Sean's family has property on Anderson Island and we are lucky enough to be able to spend random weekends there. It is a beautiful island and I always find that I am able to completely unwind and relax there. A few weeks ago, we invited a few close friends and their kiddos over to spend the weekend with us. We had such a great time with the Murray, Williams and Willoughby families... all four couples had kids between the ages of 7 months and 2 years old! It was chaotic and noisy with lots of laughter and food. This made for my favorite kind of weekend... well, okay, my favorite weekend also includes wine but never mind that... :)
