The Perfect Tree.

In keeping with tradition, we set out on our annual post-Thanksgiving tree hunt the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We went to our favorite place, Snowshoe Farms, in Orting.

We had a big group with us this year and some of our most favorite families! It's a fun tradition for everyone and even though it was a chilly day this year, we had a great time. As it turns out, 2015 is the year of our perfect tree. We ended up getting a 10 ft tree and it is just PERFECT... perfectly shaped, perfectly fitting in our living room, and perfectly fragrant. We can't stop staring at it!

Now... DECORATING our perfect tree was not that perfect (tired, frustrated parents + whiny kids = decorating fail) but oh well...we got it done with only a few tears and a few time-outs...  you win some, you lose some, right?!?! :)

Our perfect tree!

Thanksgiving 2015

We spent Thanksgiving up on Camano Island this year at Sean's moms house with his siblings and all the kids. Linda made a beautiful holiday dinner and it was a fun and relaxing day for everyone!

Thanksgiving is always a holiday I enjoy - it's a fun kickoff to the holiday season.
And this is a fun holiday season as it's Aiden's first!

Cooper came with us and had a great time roaming around Linda's 5 acres.
"Can we go home now? I'm beat."

37.

We celebrated Sean's 37th birthday on the 17th.
I tried to plan a dinner out with friends but we didn't have a sitter so it ended up being a quiet birthday for our guy. I don't think he minded too much, though ;)

Happy Birthday, Sean. We are pretty lucky to call you ours.

Aiden | Five Months Old

Our little man turned five months old this past week! Time is flying!

Aiden at Five Months:
- sleeping in his own room in his crib!
- waking up 1-2 times per night for a bottle (time to start solids!).
- rolling all over, chewing on everything
- full of big smiles and lots of laughs
- SO ticklish... I can barely rub his back without him laughing... it cracks us up

Favorite photos from October and early November.... lots of photos of he and Mara I just realized! You can tell they are the two at home with me during the day. :)

Aiden ... you are such a JOY.
We love you buddy.

Halloween Season 2015

Halloween is just so fun with little kids!
Kennedy dressed up as Cleopatra, Mara as Cindrella and Aiden as Tigger.
Lovin' these three so, SO much.

Blonde Mara cracks me up :)

We spent Halloween Day at a very rainy soccer game (Kennedy's) and then we went to the preschool harvest party which is always really fun for the kids.

Halloween night was spent with neighbors and family eating pizza and trick or treating our neighborhood (somewhat briefly as it started pouring down rain!). I didn't take many pictures. :(

My mom and my Aunt Sharon (visiting from MT).

My cousin Seth and his wife Erin... such a fun couple!

 Halloween Loot.

And a few pumpkin carving photos from the week before Halloween. I don't love pumpkin carving - it falls in the "mommy sacrifice" category for me. It's messy and someone always ends up frustrated and in time out (ahemm... Kennedy) or dropping an F-bomb or two (ahem... Sean... ok maybe it was me).  But in the end, the pumpkins always turn out cute and the roasted seeds are the best (along with a cold beer).
