Aiden | 7 Months Old

Oh this boy. He's growing and changing WAY too fast on us.
But he's a precious, amazing JOY in our house so I am okay with it!

Things to remember about this sweet boy at 7 months old:
- THAT smile.
- THOSE cheeks.
- Still NO teeth (he's for sure our child)
- Sitting un-assisted
- Eating solid foods 2-3x per day
- NOT sleeping through the night
- Very verbal and noisy
- Easy going and happy, happy, happy

I refuse to let him be our least photographed child just because he is the youngest so he is probably over-photographed (which is just an overall problem in our house!). Here are some favorite photos from the past month or so!

Birthday Party Fun

Kennedy's friend Stella had a swimming birthday party the week before Christmas. It was kind of a mom-daughter party which was a lot of fun. I got a babysitter for Mara and Aiden and Kennedy and I drove up to Bellevue early and spent some time together. We walked around a bit, got hot chocolate and then met up with everyone at the hotel pool. After the girls swam and ate dinner, we got to watch the Snowflake Lane parade from the hotel deck. So fun! It made me realize that I need to make one-on-one dates with my kids more of a priority. Kennedy was absolutely thrilled to have me all to herself for the afternoon which just doesn't happen all that often these days. I know there will probably be a time (cringe) when I am not nearly as "cool" in her eyes  so I really need to cherish this time with her!

Love this sweet, beautiful, sassy, smart, overly dramatic girl of mine!

The Real Deal

Our Kent Station Santa never disappoints! He is so great that Kennedy deemed him the REAL Santa. She spent this Christmas season deciding that the majority of Santas we encountered were not the real Santa - just helpers. Our Kent Station Santa though - definitely the real deal.

I snapped this with my phone and I love it just as much as much as the "official photo!"

We randomly came across this Santa outside the Pantages Theatre in Tacoma on our way to watch my sister sing. This was one of the said "fake" Santas (according to Kennedy).
Despite this assessment she looked pretty happy to take a photo with him. :)

Holiday Dinner - Simons Style

While much of my extended family lives in Montana, we have established quite a little Simons posse out here in Washington over the past few years which is so much fun. We hosted a big holiday dinner the week before Christmas and we had a blast (and a lot of wine!). I adore my cousins and we have so much fun when we get our families together. Shelley took quite a few photos too so when I get hers I will add them to this post but in the meantime here are the few that I took!

My cousin Danielle... also known as the baby whisperer!
My cousin Brian and his adorable family!

Sweet baby Jocelyn - she is on the move! Aiden is watching her and will soon be joining her I think!

Christmas Card Photos

Sean's cousin Clare is a great photographer and was kind enough to take some great family photos for us at her parent's farm house in Auburn. I was thrilled to have a good one for our Christmas card and loved all the beautiful extras we got too! Thank you Clare!
