Soccer Star

My little sis is quite the soccer player! It is so fun to watch her play and I look forward to many years of watching her games. She seems so grown up to be lately... I just love her to pieces.

I had not been to a Seahawks game since I was pregnant with Kennedy so I was excited to have tickets for last weekend's game. We had a ridiculous amount of fun and it was so great to spend an afternoon with some of my college favorites!

However... I did learn to stay far, far away from jello shots. Yikes.

Asado Dinner

Kennedy's preschool has an annual auction every year to raise money for the school.
Sean's grandma couldn't attend the auction last year but she wanted to donate money and support the school so she purchased a dinner for eight and gave it to us to use. Yes... she is an amazing lady!!!

So we finally picked a date and enjoyed a super fun evening, courtesy of grandma LeeAnn!

I am not going to lie... these pictures are terrible. They were taken at the END of the night, if you can't tell :)
They make me laugh though so I am posting them anyways!

For starters, the restaurant got my name wrong and printed the menu as being for PRIPA Mckenna.
We all had a nice laugh off of that!! :)

Fall Harvest Party 2012

I am so behind on blogging! I am absolutely swamped with Junebug Photography which is a great thing but I don't like that I am neglecting our family blog. So this is my attempt to get caught up (stay tuned for several consecutive posts!).

Two weeks ago, Kennedy's preschool had their annual Fall Harvest Party. It is always a fun event for the kids and the school's special events committee does a phenomenal job with decorations, games, etc.

Kennedy went as Minnie Mouse and Mara as a bumblebee. For different reasons, neither of these costumes actually made it to Halloween but they sure were cute for the one day they got worn!! :)

Happy Little Helper.

As I put the dishes BACK in the dishwasher for the THIRD time... I felt annoyed.
Annoyed that it was taking so long... annoyed that she kept climbing on the dishwasher and pulling everything out... annoyed that I had to KEEP removing her from the dishwasher that she so proudly climbed up on.

And then I stopped. And thought "wait a minute... stop feeling annoyed... embrace the moment!!"
So I grabbed my camera and captured my happy, smiling, curious baby sitting on the dishwasher.
And I made myself remember that there will be a day in the not so distant future when I will WISH that she was sitting on my dishwasher. A day when I will load the dishwasher in five minutes instead of fifteen.

I will miss this.
And there are days when I really have to remind myself of this.
Today is one of those days.

Cousin Love

Some of my favorite people in the world are my cousins.
Some of my best memories growing up include my cousins.

Which is why I am so happy that my girls will grow up with their cousins... in particular, the Harvie kiddos.
Roderick and Kennedy are already buds and Mckenna and Mara are well on their way ...

Sister Story Time

Wine and Whiskey

We spent last Saturday wine (and whiskey!) tasting in Woodinville!
We had a great time with my cousin Seth and his wife, Erin as well as Sean's cousin Kelly and her husband Mike.

I sure love me some wine.
And Sean sure loved him some whiskey.

Which is how we ended up in the Wendy's drive-thru scarfing down burgers and fries on our way home.
Always a sign of a good time!:)
